CLIENT: Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill

CHALLENGE:
Increase awareness and traffic to Rubio's Baja Grill locations in November with a fresh new campaign that would not get lost in the busy holiday season.

SOLUTION:
We created a consumer friendly GWP/sweepstakes campaign to drive consumers to Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill for a chance to win fabulous prizes.

Customers were encouraged to go to Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill and with their purchase they received a Rubio's game card (scratchers). Each scratcher featured either a discount or free item towards the next purchase at Rubio's or some very valuable prizes! Prizes included: DVD Players, Free Movie Rental Cards, Harlem Globetrotter tickets, Music CD's and a grand prize a 7 day cruise to the Mexican Riviera. We promoted the event with a four week radio and internet campaign.

Additional elements included static door clings and easel back counter cards displayed at each location and at store windows.

RESULT:
There was a huge demand for the scratcher game piece. Same month sales for the stores in the promotional area increased anywhere from 3% to 5% which translated into approximately 3,000 new customers.
