CHALLENGE:
Local American Standard dealers were looking for a community based marketing program which promoted each individual dealer all while supporting the local community. While fundraising is always a need for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), the organization was also looking to raise awareness of their cause and encourage additional donations.
SOLUTION:
Through a 500 piece mailing to local school choral groups and bands of all ages, Emmis Community Outreach solicited entries of holiday songs to be later recorded on a professionally produced CD and DVD. Selected school groups were then invited to a local recording facility for a professionally produced video and audio recording of their original holiday tune.
Through an on-air and online marketing campaign on 97.1 FM Talk and KHITS 96, these CD's and DVD's were sold to the general public with proceeds going to RMHC. Additionally, a school fundraising element was created to encourage each school to sell copies of the disks.
RESULT:
As a result of the partnership, more than 1,500 disks were sold to the general public raising more than $5,000 for RMHC and local schools. American Standard was positioned as a socially responsible corporate citizen, providing more than just heating and cooling in our homes, but truly make a difference in our community. Emmis Community Outreach looks forward to working with American Standard, local schools and the Ronald McDonald House Charities in the future to continue this creative partnership.
