Anthem: Health & Well-Being Campaign, American Cancer Society, Alzheimer's Association, Indy in Motion & WIBC |
CHALLENGE:
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Indiana partnered with Emmis Community Outreach to explore a
new avenue to effectively support local nonprofits.
SOLUTION:
As a result, Anthem selected three health-oriented nonprofit organizations to participate in the
overall health campaign. The American Cancer Society, Indy in Motion, and the Alzheimer's
Association were able to use this partnership to further their individual causes. As a partner
in this Community Outreach program, each organization was showcased in a series of public
education messages on WIBC. The messages featured Dennis Casey, President of Anthem Blue
Cross and Blue Shield of Indiana, interacting with organizational leaders and discussing the
latest health and well-being news.
Through this campaign, Indianapolis was informed of the American Cancer Society's Tell a Friend
breast cancer detection program, the Alzheimer's Association's 24 hour hotline and Maintain Your
Brain research, as well as important activities and nutrition information from Indy in Motion.
RESULT:
These educational messages on WIBC helped to reinforce Anthem's message of preventative
healthcare and informed listeners about specific health initiatives of the American Cancer
Society, Indy in Motion, and the Alzheimer's Association. Further, this opportunity showcased
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield's role in promoting a healthier Indiana. Emmis Community
Outreach looks forward to continuing to support health initiatives through our partnership with
Anthem, the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer's Association and Indy in Motion.
