The Money Station, United Cerebral Palsy Association
of Greater Indiana, WYXB, Radio Now, HANK 97.1 & WIBC |
CHALLENGE:
Through previous work with The Money Station, Emmis Community Outreach became aware of their interest
in supporting cerebral palsy. Emmis Community Outreach took this opportunity to seek a partnership with
the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Greater Indiana (UCPAGI). In working with both organizations,
Emmis Community Outreach was able to develop a strategic philanthropy partnership with Emmis Indy Radio
and The Money Station to benefit UCPAGI.
SOLUTION:
Together, the three organizations endeavored to improve the lives of families touched by cerebral palsy.
The second year partnership included a radio campaign on WIBC. The Money Station donated the cost of the
messages to benefit UCPAGI, and Emmis Indy Radio provided matching support for the program through on-air
and in-kind contributions. Through these on-air messages, The Money Station was able to tell the community
of their support for UCPAGI as well as invite the community to learn more about helping families with
cerebral palsy.
The group then came together on June 13, 2006 to host the 2nd Annual Golf-A-Round at Heartland Crossing
to benefit UCPAGI. All told, the event involved 108 players, numerous volunteers, and raised more than
$11,500 to benefit families affected by cerebral palsy!
RESULT:
This is a wonderful example of how The Money Station was able to demonstrate their commitment to the
community above and beyond their daily work with clients to ensure sound financial solutions. All
together, The Money Station, Emmis Indy Radio, and UCPAGI came together to improve the quality of life
for Indiana families with cerebral palsy and look forward to continuing the partnership.
