CHALLENGE:
IndyGo, an Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation providing public community
services, sought to educate the public regarding the benefits to our environment of
riding IndyGo buses and utilizing their transportation services. IndyGo also sought
to reach their audience interactively and teach them about the ease and convenience of
riding IndyGo buses.
SOLUTION:
In partnership with KnoZone, an organization that educates central Indiana residents and
businesses about ways to make a visible difference in our air quality, Emmis Community
Outreach and IndyGo created a "Know How to Ride" interactive and on-air campaign. This
campaign utilized 30-second and 10-second commercials supported by a micro-site on
RadioNow931.com. This micro-site featured an interactive "Know How To Ride" guide, as
well as four interactive videos educating listeners about the ease of riding IndyGo buses,
as well as the importance of riding to reduce air pollution.
RESULT:
Emmis Community Outreach is proud to have furthered the partnership between IndyGo and
KnoZone. In total, the "Know How to Ride" message was featured in 630 recorded and 260
live promotional announcements over four Indiana radio stations, in addition to reaching
approximately 43,000 opt-in database participants as a part of 6 interactive e-blasts.
